The Healing Benefits Of Bath Salts

bath salts
By: Natural Health Ezine -
The healing benefits of bath salts, both Epsom salts and Dead Sea salts, have been known for centuries. Today, Epsom salts and Dead Sea salts are a popular, natural ingredient in many home made bath salts. They both have benefits that make taking a soak in the bath not only a relaxing experience, but a healing one too, as the chemical components of both salts are readily absorbed through the skin. Here’s some facts about the origins, composition and benefits of both types of salts.

Origin of Epsom Salts

Epsom salts were named after the town of Epsom in Surrey, England. The salts were originally distilled from the springs located near the town. Today, Epsom salts are widely available throughout the world and the term refers to the chemical compound, Magnesium sulfate, which commonly occurs in many similar geological environments such as those located near Epsom in England.

Origin of Dead Sea Salts

Dead Sea salts originate from the Dead Sea, a salt lake that is located on the borders of Jordan, Israel and the West Bank. The Dead Sea has been known for its therapeutic properties for thousands of years. The lake is made up of 27% salts whereas normal sea water is made up of just 3% salts (source). For this reason, Dead Sea salts are a popular healing component of natural bath salts.

Composition of Epsom Salts and Dead Sea Salts

Epsom salt is chemically composed of magnesium, sulfur and oxygen. It has the appearance of tiny crystals, similar to that of table salt which is probably why it is thought of as a “salt”; technically, however, it is not the same as table salt, Sodium chloride (source).
Dead Sea salts are chemically composed of magnesium, potassium, calcium chloride and bromides. This differs to regular sea salt in that regular sea salt is principally composed of Sodium chloride. Although there are many salt lakes around the world, including the Great Salt Lake in Utah, the Dead Sea is unique in its chemical composition due to a high percentage of Magnesium chloride as opposed to Sodium chloride.

Benefits of Epsom Salts

Epsom salts have a number of healing benefits. Epsom salts are high in magnesium, a compound that many Americans are deficient in (source). Epsom salts can help to:
  • flush out toxins in the body
  • help to form proteins in the joints and brain tissue
  • exfoliate skin
  • relieve stress
  • relieve arthritis
  • relieve muscle pain
  • prevent blood clots
  • grow greener and more healthy plants.

Benefits of Dead Sea Salts

Dead Sea salts also have a number of healing benefits. The various chemical components in Dead Sea salts have the following benefits:
  • magnesium – calm the nervous system, reduce fluid retention, slow down the aging of skin
  • calcium – strengthen bones and nails, increase circulation
  • potassium – balance skin moisture, energize the body
  • sodium – balance lymphatic fluid and consequently the immune system.

Uses

Both Epsom salts and Dead Sea salts are used primarily as a natural ingredient in bath salts. Epsom salts are also used in the garden to encourage higher yields and greener plants, due to the high level of magnesium and sulfur found in Epsom salts. They are also used as part of a natural household cleaner and in many beauty applications, such as face cleansers and foot soaks

Epsom Salts Vs. Dead Sea Salts

Both Epsom salts and Dead Sea salts have therapeutic benefits. So, how do you choose between the two for a bath time soak? Probably the most beneficial way to absorb the benefits of Epsom salts and Dead Sea salts is to combine the two ingredients! That way, you will benefit from every possible advantage that both salts offer. Consult a medical practitioner first, if you are pregnant or have a medical condition that might be affected by the use of such salts.
From:RED ICE CREATIONS article - SEA SALT AND BAKING SODA...
http://www.redicecreations.com/article.php?id=17613

Baking soda is so powerful in curing radiation contamination that at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, researcher Don York has used baking soda to clean soil contaminated with uranium. Sodium bicarbonate binds with uranium, separating it from the dirt; so far, York has removed as much as 92 percent of the uranium from contaminated soil samples. Still not convinced? Would it help to know that the United States Army recommends the use of baking soda to protect the kidneys from radiation damage.

Radiation is very toxic. Exposure to radiation of any amount is harmful to your body. Exposure to radiation through x-rays (hospitals and airport screening) or any of the so-called cancer treatments are the most dangerous source of radiation poisoning. X-rays and radiation cancer treatments are far deadlier than radiation fallout because the exposure is concentrated and frequent.

To pull the radiation poison out of the body, try bathing in half a cup of sea salt and half a cup of baking soda. Soak for at least 20-30 minutes, every day for three weeks or every other day for six weeks. . . or go on a vacation to the West Indies or South Pacific and swim in the ocean every day for three weeks! Why the Indies or South Pacific? Because of the higher concentration of sea salt. Where is the best place on Earth to go for curing yourself of radiation? The Dead Sea. The Dead Sea salt content is four times that of most world’s oceans. Sea salt draws the radiation out of the body.

DO YOU WANT TO BUILD YOUR DREAMS

ENTREPRENEUR in Relationship Marketing

vs.

EMPLOYEE working a JOB

E
NTREPRENEURS in Relationship Marketing ACHIEVE success as a result of committing to building THEIR dreams by 1st HELPING OTHERS to build their dreams with unlimited residual income.
An EMPLOYEE working a JOB on the other hand is getting paid to BUILD SOMEONE ELSE's dream.

I have found it more attractive to be an Entrepreneur....start now by creating a Part Time Plan B while you work your Job fulltime, and next year at this time, you will be a fulltime Entrepreneur.

This article from ENTREPRENEUR Magazine is great at laying out the mindset switch needed to become an Entrepreneur....you can do this!  Ask yourself...If Not Now, When?
Why Not Me, Why Not Now?

9 'Mindsets' You Need to Switch From Employee to Entrepreneur

Mindset is probably the major determinant of success in pretty much every walk of life. In other words, the thinking patterns you habitually adopt largely govern the results you achieve.
But different circumstances and situations require different mindsets, something that anyone looking to leave paid employment and strike out on their own, must be aware of. Unfortunately, not all would-be entrepreneurs understand the dramatic mindset shifts required, without which business success is unlikely.
So how, as a one-time employee, will you have to think differently to succeed?
1. You’re responsible for all decisions - good and bad. Entrepreneurs have an incredible opportunity to create something from nothing, in a way that’s not possible working for someone else. But this means making big decisions about what must be done, when and how. You can’t wait for things to happen, or for someone to tell you what to do, you must make them happen. Successful entrepreneurs also understand that opportunities may be short-lived, and so develop a sense of urgency that helps them achieve their goals.
2. You need to hold both short and long-term visions simultaneously. Work for others and you are mainly responsible for ensuring that what needs to be done now, is done. As an entrepreneur, you have to project your mind forward, thinking about the potential pitfalls and opportunities that lie around the corner, and making decisions based on uncertainty. This requires you to come to terms with the fact that what you do, or don't do, today, will have an impact on your business three months, even five years down the line.
3. Feeling uncomfortable is your new ‘comfort zone.’ As an employee, you’re used to thinking ‘inside the box’ rather than outside it. As an entrepreneur, there is no box. You see what others don’t, test new ideas, seize new territory, take risks. This requires courage, a thick skin and the ability to keep going despite rejection and skepticism.
4. Learning is a continuous journey. As an employee, you have a job description, requiring a specific skill-set. Being an entrepreneur involves learning many new skills, unless you have the funds to outsource what you're not good at or don't want to do. That could be learning to set up a spreadsheet, getting investors on board, marketing your ideas, crafting your perfect pitch, or using unfamiliar technology. What needs to be done, has to be done - there is no room for excuses.
5. Numbers don’t lie. Where numbers are concerned, it’s enough for most employees to know what’s coming in and what’s going out. As an entrepreneur, you’d better learn to love numbers fast, because your cash flow is what will keep you in – or out of – business. Ultimately, it’s your sales, costs, profit and loss that will either give you sleepless nights or an enviable lifestyle. But without the guiding light of numbers, your business will be continually heading for the rocks.
6. Love your business, but be objective. As an employee, you can go on doing something you dislike just for the salary. As an entrepreneur, you will need to love your business because of the effort and long hours required. But you mustn’t fall into the trap of thinking and acting like an employee in your own company, working ‘in’ rather than ‘on’ the business, a ‘technician’ rather than the person who steers it forward.
7. Enjoy breaking rules. As an employee, breaking the rules could mean dismissal. Entrepreneurs on the other hand, aren’t interested in the status quo – they’re always looking for ways to do things differently. That means acquiring a global perspective, always peering over the horizon, or at least towards it, to where the next big thing is waiting.
8. Time isn’t linear. As an employee, you have a timetable to work to. As an entrepreneur, while you might not be tied to a desk or computer 24/7, you will always be thinking about your business, what it’s doing well and what it could be doing better. There will be no respite – you will live and breathe it.
9. Start now. Most people under-estimate the time it takes to make the transition to entrepreneur, so it’s sensible to start shifting your mindset while you’re still employed, perhaps even setting up a business to run alongside. This could give you the opportunity to develop skills and build experience while still enjoying the safety-net of a salary, something that at some point you will almost certainly need to give up if you want to grow your business.
So, employee or entrepreneur? Is it time to switch? The choice is yours.

Preserve youth - means to make a choice in favor of a healthy diet

by: ZDRovieInfo

In order to preserve the beauty and youth, people spend a lot of money on cosmetics and anti-aging procedures, despite the fact that you can take care of themselves, and in the home.
Preserve youth - means to make a choice in favor of a healthy diet
Today's pace of life forces us to change many habits, including eating habits.
The food we usually eat:
1 Salty foods
Salt definitely adds a taste of our traditional food, but it is important to remember that salt is also dry out your skin. Some types of salt contain iodine, which, according to dermatologists, acne causes. Redness, swelling, and increased sensitivity of the skin - the result of excessive consumption of salt.
2 A diet rich in carbohydrates
In humans, sugar and other carbohydrates is very rapidly converted to glucose. If we eat too much food rich in carbohydrates, the blood glucose level rises, and thus increases production of insulin. High levels of insulin provokes rapid death of skin cells and accelerate the aging process.
3 Sugar
When sugar enters the body, they attach to the amino groups of tissue proteins such as collagen, and slowly turn them into advanced glycation end products (CNG) - the main cause of damage to the body. As a result, healthy collagen fibers lose their elasticity and become rigid, more fragile and easily destroyed. Thus, the skin "sags", and wrinkles.
4 Oil and grease
When heated oil is converted into trans-fats, which are extremely dangerous for the skin they produce free radicals that damage cells DNA can cause skin cancer, promote the appearance of wrinkles and loss of elasticity. In other words, they accelerate the aging process.
Fresh fruits and vegetables should be a mandatory part of our daily diet.As well as protein-rich meat or fish. Together, let us reveal the incredible anti-aging properties of the following products:
Preserve youth - means to make a choice in favor of a healthy diet
Oranges
These fruits contain a lot of water, moisturize skin cells. Oranges - an excellent source of vitamins C and A, as well as calcium. Vitamin C - an antioxidant that helps fight against skin damage caused by sunlight and bad environment, it reduces wrinkles and improves overall skin condition.Vitamin C plays an important role in the formation of collagen which is necessary for skin cell renewal.
Avocado
Avocados contain healthy unsaturated mono-acid, which help to keep the skin hydrated. They also help to absorb some of the necessary vitamins and nutrients.
Recent studies have shown that the fat in avocados help maintain vitality of cells exposed to free radicals, which are destructive, cause aging and provoke diseases.
Grapes
Grapes have anti-inflammatory properties and is an antioxidant, protects the skin from oxidative damage and inflammation. Phytonutrients are contained in the grapes, especially important in processes for preventing aging. Resveratrol contained in grape seeds, pulp and peel, a positive effect on all three factors responsible for the lifespan. Alpha-hydroxy acid, also contained in grapes, is the key to maintaining healthy skin.
Lean beef
Lean beef - it's a great source of protein involved in the formation of collagen.
Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower
These vegetables contain phytochemicals, vitamins, minerals and fiber needed for health. For skin are important sources of vitamins A and C, and folic acid. Vitamin C activates the collagen, while vitamin A and folic acid reduce the harmful effects of sunlight. Another reason should eat a lot of cruciferous vegetables that contain antioxidants and they possess anti-inflammatory and protective effects.
Salmon
This fish - one of the best ways to bring in our diet omega-3 fatty acids, which help to moisturize the skin and protect against harmful UV radiation and, therefore, prevent premature aging and the appearance of early wrinkles. Salmon also contains a unique ingredient that helps fight wrinkles - astaxanthin, a carotenoid, which is caused by a pale pink color of the fish. It is a potent antioxidant that can fight free radicals that are produced by the skin when exposed to sunlight.
In order to enjoy healthy food, it should be properly prepared. Preparing food in the traditional way, we spoil it by cooking in boiling water, roasting on saturated fats overheated. As a result of the food that should give us the necessary nutrients, deprived of most of these substances, and healthy properties.
